Hillary Clinton gave perhaps the best speech of her political career last night, as the Democratic National Convention in Denver was awash with white "Hillary" signs and blue ones with "Hillary," "Obama," and "Unity" on them. The question is: will it undo the damage that Senator Clinton, the presidential candidate, did in the primaries to Barack Obama, who will be crowned tomorrow night as the Democratic nominee? |

Assuming you weren't in front of your computer, cell-phone or television between midnight and 3am Saturday, you missed a lot. Actually, you missed it all. Sen. Barack Obama's much anticipated announcement of a running mate-who happens to be Delaware Sen. Joe Biden-was first reported by CNN sometime around 12:30am, followed by other news outlets shortly thereafter. |

What do you get when you mix hundreds of politicians, political consultants, lobbyists and business organizations? Apparently, plenty of confusion over House and Senate ethics rules. In the run-up to this year's national conventions, party organizers have spent thousands of dollars for legal advice to ensure their convention gatherings are on the up and up. |

Supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton will get their due at the Democratic convention in Denver at the end of August, but tension between some Clinton and Obama delegates will likely carry over into the proceedings anyway. And now that Clinton's name will officially be placed in nomination in Denver, top Democrats are hopeful that even the senator's most diehard supporters will be satisfied with the agreement. |
